CELT Steering Committee Report

The report outlines the membership of the steering committee and working groups of the California Extremely Large Telescope project. Committees cover telescope design, adaptive optics, enclosure and building, scientific instruments, site evaluation, and more. Detailed plans, schedules, and budget estimates are provided for the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases. High-risk areas such as mirror design and adaptive optics are highlighted, along with objectives to develop a 30-meter diameter telescope, scientific instruments, and research areas.
