  2. GHS Basketball If you are interested in playing varsity or JV basketball next year there will be a brief meeting with Coach Kennerly on TODAY , Tuesday, May 21st  at 9:50 in the gym. If you forgot about the meeting, please see Coach Kennerly.

  3. Freshman Zach McClain, 3-A Golf All-State Team

Attention HOSA Members Join us for our final HOSA celebration TONIGHT @ 6:30 pm in room #312.  This will be our "Grand Celebration" to wish our Senior Class of 2013 the best and review our chapter accomplishments for this school year!  All HOSA juniors, sophomores, and freshmen are asked to stop by one of the advisors' rooms to sign up to bring a party food item or drink in honor of our seniors.  See you there!

  5. Attention Seniors Do YOU have perfect attendance for your 12 years of high school? Well, then you may be eligible for a Perfect Attendance Award! Each year, the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) honors graduating seniors who have 12 years of perfect attendance with a special certificate and personal letter signed by the State Superintendent of Education. If you think you are eligible, then see Mrs. Smith in attendance to apply for this recognition.

Important Dates Thursday, May 23rd-GHS Awards Day & Senior presentations, 8:30 amMonday, May 27th- Memorial Day, NO SCHOOLThursday, May 30th– Senior Meeting at 10:00 am followed by the Senior Picnic; last day for the class of 2013Wednesday, June 5 – Final Exams, blocks 2 & 4 & 3.A (Regular day of school)Thursday, June 6 – Final Exams, block 1 & 3 (half day of school)Fiday, June 7 – Final Exam, Block 3.B ONLY (car riders/walkers dismissed at 10:00; bus riders dismissed at 12:00) *No Exams will be administered EARLY!

  8. Parking for Awards Day! On Thursday May 23rd we will have Awards’ Day here at GHS.  To accommodate parents and special guests who will be attending this celebration, we are asking that everyone who parks in the parking lot closest to the football practice fields to please park at the football stadium on this day (As you enter the student parking lot from Two Notch, this is everyone who parks to the right of the gymnasium).  This includes everyone in parking spots 283 through 514.  Administrators will be in the parking lot Thursday morning to remind you.  Thank you for your cooperation!

  10. A Reminder… …to seniors! Your outstanding lunch accounts must be paid by May 29th. All other students’ outstanding lunch accounts must be paid by June 6th .
