School Improvement Continuums • Read over School Improvement Continuum for Information and Student Achievement • Each person reads on their own • Share out within your group • Discuss how you would rate the district • Share out across groups
Role of the DCIT in SIP • District Improvement Team (DIT) should communicate regularly with School Improvement teams surrounding building-level data. • DIT should analyze building-level data, discern trends, and adjust District Improvement Plan accordingly. • DIT should answer the question: is what we're doing systemically (district-wide) working, and how do we know? • Approve all submitted SPRs/SAs by mid-march deadline • Complete District Process Rubrics (should be informed by the SPR and SA; Due April 2). • Engage in discussion and planning around budget estimates. • Establish a District-wide date for building SI Plans and SDP/A to be submitted to central office ... suggestion: SDP/A mid-April since it drives ... SIP mid-May since it drives ... DIP due June 29
Supporting SIP Implementation • Is what we are doing working? • What data should we (DCIT) ask to review from SITs? • By when? • This should be part of monitoring the plans. • How will this be communicated?
