Virtual Meeting and Vote • Per Protocol 7.1 Fall Conference has been replaced by Virtual Meeting • District will have only one Annual Conference • During this meeting District will present proposed 2019 - 2020 District Success Plan, and Budget
Overall District Goals for 2019-2020 • Be Smedley's Distinguished in 2019-2020. • Implement a district mentoring program for individual members • Improve member participation in activities outside the club, including trainings, contests, recognition events, and conferences • Reach 100% Pathways adoption (choose Path) by 12/31/19 • Rejuvenate Speakers Bureau.
District Success Plan • In 2019-2020, District 83 is striving to be a Smedley's Distinguished district. To accomplish this level of achievement, our district will need to: • Have 96 clubs be distinguished or better • Retain existing clubs and help them reach and keep 20 members • Net 14 new clubs, minimize loss of clubs • Increase participation in club officer training; Winter training to begin in November • Increase participation in contests to showcase member achievement
District Success Plan - Strategies • Enrich the program's value proposition and quality of club experience to lead to increased educational achievement. • Create a marketing team with members serving as club extension, retention, quality chairs and a new source research chair to assist in chartering clubs and assuring sustainable clubs • Increase Pathways adoption via education and training on the program • Utilize speakers bureau to engage existing members and attract new members

Realignment • Since approval of Realignment at Business Meeting in May: • Added Fair Lawn Toastmaster (I91) • Suspended: Crum & Toaster (B23)
District Officer Appointments • At the Business Meeting in May, we were not able to fill one Division Director position: • Appointed Narendra Pondugula to fill Division B • Appointed Gimai Ma, Division I director to replace Egidijus Bartkus who was not able to fulfill role
