Confucius’s father died when Confucius was young so he was brought up by his mother. • 5. Confucius traveled all around China and did not return home until he was sixty eight.
Why is Confucius Respected? • Confucius defined how to run the government and live your life back in ancient China. He is considered one of the greatest philosophers of all time.

Temples • 1. The tomb of Confucius is in Kong Lin cemetery. • 2. Qufu is Confucius’s hometown and a place to worship him. • 3. The Taiwan Confucius temple is another place of worship. This shows that his teachings are spread wide a far. • 4. Confucius and Buddha temples are often found together. • 5. His biggest temple is in his hometown.
