Weekly Announcements for August 1, 2010 We’re Moving On Up... All Children in the Children’s Ministry classes K-7th grades will be moving up to the next grade on Sunday, September 5th. Marrieds, Save The Date! Our next Marriage Retreat will be October 9th and 10th. Location and details to come. This Wednesday August 4th will be a Congregational BBQ. Marrieds, please bring a large side dish, singles and campus, bring homemade desserts. Please be on time! The BBQ starts at 7 pm! Our Food Pantry Shelves are becoming empty!We are in need of: cereal, canned meats, canned fruit, jelly, complete box meals, boxed stuffing mix, cans of soup, crackers, and any other non-perishables. Please check expiration dates on your items before donating them. Thank you for your generosity! The September-November teaching rotation for the children’s ministry is just a few weeks away. Please plan on attending the teacher training lunch immediately after our Sunday morning worship on August 29th. Lunch will be provided for you and your family. The following teachers are signed up for this rotation: Gillie and Mest Collins, Tom and Anne Conway, Vicky Craycraft, Connie Douglas, Virginia Foreman, Pam Hayes, Rose Homan, Marina Hopkins, Bruce and Nancy Kuhns, Steve and Linda Ruhl, Kelly Sowder, Cietta Stone, Tiffany Thompson, Georgina Unroe, Fred and Mary Vance, Jon Williams, Hal and Anita Wolfe. Please turn off your cell phone before the church service begins. Thank you! New Christians/New Members Dinner Friday, August 27th at 7 pm here in the church cafeteria. You will be receiving an invitation this week! For All Choir Members (Mass Choir and VOT) and for all who would like to be choir members, we will be having a meeting Sunday Aug 15th at noon. It’s very important that as many people as possible attend. We need more people to join the choir,especially men,so don’t be shy if you haven’t been a part before. August 8th Blood Drive! This is the last day to sign up for the Blood Drive. We need at least 25 more people to sign up today! Please stop by the table in the back of the church for this critical event. You can donate anytime between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm that Sunday.
