Weekly Newsletter February 21, 2009 Ohio Valley Women’s Retreat March 20 – 21st in Columbus. The retreat begins at 11 am on Saturday and concludes after a worship service Sunday morning. Registration for members is $15, registration for visitors is $10. We’ll be staying at the Doubletree Inn (Columbus/Worthington) 175 Hutchinson Ave, Cols 45235 – hotel reservations on your own (614) 885-3334. Guest speaker is Candice Fathi from the Potomac Valley Church of Christ. Registration begins today after service in the back of the auditorium. Donate your Glasses – Donna Johnson is collecting glasses for a benevolent project at her job. Used glasses will give sight to someone in an impoverished country. Please bring in your old glasses and put in the box at the back table anytime in February. Teen Rally 2010 MLIA “My Life is Awesome” We are excited about our teen rally coming up Feb 26th – 28th. Please be inviting teens to come! Maurice and Lauren Hooks will be here from the great Kansas City Church. There will be preaching, classes, performances, skits, fellowship, food, tubing and fun. The Ohio Churches are sponsoring an Ohio Valley Bible and Leadership Training Class. This class will begin in April (Old Testament History) and include extensive reading and online training. This is a great opportunity to build depth and passion in our bible study and also build unity within the Ohio churches. If interested, please see Jim or John Cleghorn.
