Healthy Youth Survey Basics • A collaborative effort among six state agencies. • Survey comprised of items from several national surveys. • Survey consistently administered in the Fall of even years since 1988. • Survey given to Grades 6, 8, 10, and 12. • Voluntary and anonymous. • Results available at state, county, ESD, district, school level. • Several versions of the survey. • Topics include health, behavior, attitudes, etc.

  4. 2012 Survey Participation • 205,011 students • Over 1,001 schools • 224 school districts • All 39 counties
