  1. Skip Bins Made Simple Are You Using Them Correctly?

  2. Skip Bins and You • At Bonza Bins we believe in supplying products which are great value for money. • Because we care about your wallet, we want to make sure you’re getting the most out of every dollar spent using one of our high quality skip bins. • That’s why we’ve put together this guide on the correct and most efficient way to use a skip bin. • Follow these steps for your next skip bin hire to save even more time and money.

  3. Find a Place On Your Property • By allocating some space on your property for the placement on the skip bin, you can avoid any nasty council fines that can be associated with placing a bin on the street. • A bin on the street may also tempt people to dump their trash in your hired bin. • Avoid any hassles with local councils or neighbours by finding somewhere on your own property for the bin. • If you can’t find any room, park your car on the street and place the bin where the car was.

  4. If you’re worried about the bin scratching or marking your driveway or front paving, just elevate it with a couple of planks of wood. • This is also a great option for those whose front yards are grassed, as keeping the bin off the grass means it won’t die. Keep It Raised

  5. Size Matters • When you order a skip bin from Bonza Bins, discuss size options with one of our friendly staff. • We have several options for size and it’s best for you to know which size you need. • Get a size too big and you’ll be spending more money than you need to, get one too small and you won’t have enough room to finish the job. • By providing us some general information about how you will be using the bin, our staff should be able to ascertain which size bin will suit your specific requirements best.

  6. Know The Dos and Don’ts • Although most of your rubbish will be safe and appropriate for a skip bin, there are a few certain things which can’t be placed in skip bins. • Hazardous waste can’t be disposed in skip bins for obvious reasons. • Other materials too unsafe to be disposed of in a skip bin include: asbestos, car and truck tyres, liquid waste (paint, oil, etc.) and gas bottles. • Not only are these materials unsafe to dispose of in a skip bin, if asbestos is discovered in one of our bins it will incur an extra fee, so don’t risk your health or your wallet by putting the wrong stuff in the wrong bin.

  7. Pack It In – But Don’t Overfill • Use all the space in your bin to the fullest by packing it tight. • Get the most out of your bin by treating it like a game of Tetris. Stack and place rubbish in the best way to fill up every nook and crevice, leaving no gaps or air pockets. • Once the bin is full, don’t continue to pile trash up. The bins can only be filled to the top edge, with no rubbish sticking out. Overloaded bins are unsafe, can cause damage to people and property and can’t be collected by our drivers. • If a bin has been overloaded, the driver picking it up may remove some of the items or ask you to remove the excess waste. They may even need to bring in a second bin, which means an extra cost.

  8. When you hire a bin from Bonza Bins you can choose to hire it for up to 4 days or up to 7 days. • It’s best to think about how long you’ll need it for and make the most out of the days you have it. • We’re happy to extend the skip bin hire if provided notice, but it will cost an extra $10 a day or $50 to have it for an extra week. Manage Your Time
