  4. Rims avid grew so big that it has more students than 35 states combined!

  5. 100% RIMS AVID achieved an unprecedented 100% graduation rate in 2011

  6. AVID College-Going Rates RIMS AVID has a higher 4-year and total college going rate than CA or worldwide AVID

  7. The percentage of students enrolled in AVID is higher in RIMS than any other region and almost 4 times higher than any other state

  8. Calculated from # of AVID a-g completers divided by total # a-g completers Data compiled from DataQuest and AVID Center websites More than 20% of RIMS a-g completers are AVID students

  9. A Few Examples RIMS AVID is home to incredible graduates like Karen Villegas who is first in her family to graduate high school. Karen received the Gates Millenium, Dell, and KFC scholarships as well as more than a half dozen other local scholarships. She’s headed to UCLA.

  10. A Few Examples Uriel Sanchez is a dyslexic student, first in his family to graduate high school. He’s headed to medical school at Johns Hopkins and Oxford Universities.

  11. A Few Examples MaricelaLupercio is a first generation immigrant from the Coachella Valley who is attending Harvard University on a full scholarship.

  14. Has become 4,400 graduates in RIMS!

  15. Of those 4,400 graduates, their graduation rate was 99.2%

  16. Of those 4,400 graduates, their a-g completion rate was 94.7%

  17. Of those 4,400 graduates, their 4-year college-going rate was 74.0%

  18. That one high school has spread to 220 schools!

  19. And continuing to grow! Where will we go from here???
