  2. Breast Cancer Spanish High Resolution (HR) Study • 3.482 invasive breast cancers cases in females. • Study years: 2004 and 2005 (mainly in 2005). • Vital status (updated up to 31st December 2010 through linkage to the National Death Index).

  3. Coverage: 20% of the total female Spanish population.

  4. Funding: research grant of the Spanish Health Ministry (coordinated project) Research Plans & Publications: Distribution and prognosis of molecular breast cancer subtypes defined by immunohistochemical biomarkers in a Spanish population-based study (Responsible: Girona) Comorbidities and breast cancer survival: a multicentric study in Spain (Responsible: Murcia) Standard care for female breast cancer: A Multicentre High Resolution Study across Spain (Responsible: Granada)

  5. Future Plans within the Spanish High Resolution Study • To collect information on incident colorrectal cancer cases, diagnosed during 2008-2009 • To apply for funding at a national level (Spanish Ministry of Health; March 2013) • Some Spanish cancer registries have already applied for funding at a regional level: resolution still pending. • However, if necessary, some registries will consider contributing to this study using their own resources.
