  3. United Way at UCF • Major employers offer a workplace giving option to employees • Convenient, secure method of community investment • Well-managed, coordinated campaign to maximize impact • Reflects our Knight Family’s generous giving spirit

  4. Making an Impact We reached out to local charities and asked about UCF’s impact through our campaign. In response, we received hundreds of hand-written thank you cards and letters from children, families, and volunteers who wanted you to know that UCF made a difference in their lives.

  5. Designating your Donation • Investing In Results option • Designate to research-identified major need areas in our community • Dispersed by a United Way committee to agencies with programs focused on specific need areas

  6. Designating your Donation • Write-In Option • You may designate to any charity, United Way agency or not. • Always include the EIN number, verify that the agency is a 501(c)(3), and provide accurate contact information

  11. Campaign Cabinet Advisory Board to oversee the campaign, providing guidance and input to improve our impact on the community Advocate for the United Way and UCF’s philanthropy efforts

  12. Special EventsRUN UNITED • Sponsor a runner • Runners are listed, with the charity they are supporting and their miles goal, on our Web site. Simply contact the individual and let them know you are interested in sponsoring them. • Be a Runner • Determine a charity, pledge your miles, find sponsors – then run/walk/crawl to support the charity of your choice! • Run packets & info are on the website. • All participants will receive runner medals & certificates.

  13. Special EventsCRITICAL NEEDS DRIVE 3rd Annual Critical Needs Drive Benefits the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida Host a box in your department, or drop off items in Millican Hall, 384. Needs list is on our Website – click on Critical Needs Drive under Events.
