THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE 1610 Hudson voyaged for the Northwest Passage through the North American continent. This trip was funded the Virginia Company and British East India Company. Regions in this northwest passage are now named after him including the Hudson Straight as well as the Hudson Bay
IMPORTANCE The discovery of this passage is very important to the western region. It enabled to flow east of china, giving a way around the silk road. This brought lots of money into the western regions and to Henry Hudson himself.
