  2. His life before the voyage • Henry Hudson was born in 1570 in England . • His parents and early life is unknown because there was no recorded history of his life as a boy .

  3. Exploration • Hudson made two attempts on the behalf of English merchants to find a perspective Northwest passage to Cathay (today's China)

  4. The Voyage • The English navigator sailed in April 1607 on a small ship with a crew of 11 to help discover a passage across the pole to Asia. • In April of 1610 he reached Greenland .

  5. The end of fame for the great name • In April 1610 Henry Hudson's crew mutinied and sent Henry, his son, and seven other men to die. • He made four voyages and after his men mutinied he was never seen again .

  6. In remembrance of Henry Hudson • Henry Hudson lived a great life of adventure and happiness. • He died on June 22,1611 at the age of forty-one. He will forever be remembered in the Explorer Hall of Fame
