Perception • Is the Recognition and interpretation of sensory stimuli. • Has to do with the way people view certain things
Social Interaction • Deals with a social structure in which guides human behavior rather then rigidly determining it • Acts people perform towards each other and the responses the give in return • A process by which people act and react in relation to others
5 types of social interactions • Exchange • Competition • Cooperation • Conflict • coercion
Exchange • A social process whereby social behavior is exchanged for some type of reward or equal or greater value
Competition • A process by which two or more people/groups attempt to obtain the same goal
Cooperation • The process in which people work together to achieve shared goals (opposite of competition)
Conflict • The process by which people attempt to physically or socially conquer each other, resulting from competition
Coericon • Describes something by which people compel other people to do something against their will based ultimately on force.
