  2. Aims of the MLPS course • Improve your confidence in German • Improve your spoken German • Give you a bank of techniques for teaching MFL in the Primary School. • Understand CfE for Mod Lang in Primary School • Learn different techniques for teaching Modern Languages

  3. Aims • to learn and practise 11 classroom instructions • to ask someone how they are • to introduce yourself and ask someone their name • to use ‘er’ and ‘sie’ to say someone’s name

  4. Willkommen zur deutschen Klasse! Hier spricht man Deutsch!

  5. Classroom Instructions Schaut an die Tafel! Ruhe, bitte! Hört zu!

  6. Macht eure Hefte auf! Wiederholt, bitte! Macht eure Hefte zu!

  7. Hebt die Hand! Steht auf! Setzt euch hin!

  8. Macht die Tür zu! Macht die Tür auf!

  9. Übung: 1) Spiel: Simon Sagt 2) Arbeitet mit einem Partner jetzt! 3) Strip Bingo

  10. Guten Tag! Wie geht’s? Sehr gut, danke. Nicht so gut. Es geht. Gut, danke. Sehrschlecht.

  11. ‘Wiegeht’s?’ (literally: How does it go?)is short for ’Wiegeht’s dir?’ (familiar form of ‘How does it go with you?’) or ’Wiegeht’sIhnen?’ (polite form of ‘How does it go with you?’) Once you have answered (eg.’Gut,danke’), you can add: ‘Und dir?’ (familiar form) or ‘Und Ihnen?’ (polite form) to ask ‘And you?’
