Field Experience Overview • Go to www.stcloudstate.edu/oce • Click on Field Experience and Student Teaching Application • Click on Field Experience & Student Teaching Application • Enter HuskyNet ID and Password • Click on My Field Experience Applications • General Placement Deadline: Friday, January 23rd • If you fail to apply by the deadline, set up an appointment with Carol Thoma!!!!!!! • If you fail to apply by the deadline, placement in a St. Cloud District will not be possible.

  5. General Placement • Service Learning Project • Intro Teachers • Sign up Sheet • Download: • ISD #742 CBC Forms • SCSU Service Learning Liability Form • ISD #742 Volunteer Sheet

  6. GENERAL INFO… • Carol will come to class and hand out contracts. • You must wear a SCSU ID Badge at all times when working in the K-12 schools. • These are available in Atwood at the campus card center • If you already have a badge, obtain the current semester sticker from OCE

  7. Personal Liability Insurance • It is REQUIRED that all field experience students carry personal liability insurance. • Available through EMSP (Education Minnesota Student Program) • $25.00 including required EMSP membership fee • Apply on line at www.educationminnesota.org • Student Members • Apply online • or through your personal insurance company

  8. Having a Successful Experience First Impression Matter…

  9. Check your appearance… Bend over… Squat down… Raise your arms… Lean over… Sit down… If skin shows where it shouldn’t, CHANGE!

  10. Evaluations • Turn evaluation in to PROFESSOR not OCE!!! • SPED 200: • Download Evaluation in the OCE Forms section in the OCE Kiosk
