Data Content – What has been achieved? A “Data Trawl” - the identification and description of data and information products available to support NRM information requirements
Data Content – What has been achieved? Agency projects to improve data content and data management – making information more readily available.
Data Content – NRM Regional Groups Initiatives: • Data Survey of Regional projects. • The Survey identified datasets that have been: • Created • Utilised • Development of an “Spatial Data Management Toolkit” for each of the Regional NRM Groups in WA.
Accessing data Viewing data What data Exists? • Data Services • Online electronic delivery to geo referenced images (wms) or all dataset features (wfs). • Data Services can be used in: • GIS applications (eg., Arcview) • WA Atlas • Google Earth • MapViewers • Online applications for viewing geospatial information • WA Atlas (upgraded) • NRM Info • Interragator+ • Catalogue of geospatial data in WA • (database that holds metadata) • Query what spatial data exists for a particular: • Theme • Geographical Area Viewing and Querying – turning data into Information Downloading Data Searching for Data
