CCHIT Notes Sept 18, 2013
CCHIT Current Capabilities • Enables vendors and implementers test their health information exchange standards related to • eHealth Exchange specifications • Patient Discovery • Query For Documents • Retrieve Documents • Messaging, Security and Privacy • Good documentation of test procedures, test data and other useful checklists for the above specifications • DIL offers the implementers the ability to run tests against their own implementation and receive feedback for the above specifications • All of the above capabilities can be accessed via the CCHIT/DIL websites.
Discussion Points • Test Suites focus currently on eHealth Exchange Specifications and my initial understanding is that implementers should support Patient Discovery to successfully execute the various tests. • If tests can be made modular, it might benefit the implementers/vendors • Forums, Knowledge Base and other tools are part of the paid subscription, the subscription helps to also use the CCHIT experts to help the implementers on various specification related issues • Might be good to have a downloadable image of the test tool to aid the community • Any thoughts on aligning with the NIST Tool kit ? • Is CCHIT using the NIST SOAP tool kit for MU2 ? • What are the specifications that will be addressed in the near future ? • What versions of CONNECT does the test suites support ? • What is their vision of the HIE Certified Network Program ? What specifications will be included in this test suite ? • SITE could leverage this tool kit for eHealth Exchange Specifications as necessary
