  5. BEE Binder Please send your child’s Bee Binder back to school every day! Please also send Tuesday folder back to school Wednesday mornings

  6. Homework Expectations • Required: Reading at home, every day. • Minimum of 15 minutes per night • Reading in English • Read aloud to child or have your child read to you using whatever reading materials you have available. • I will send math homework home each week. • Practice spelling words that go home in the Tuesday folders

  7. How can you help at home? • Talk with your child about what we’re learning inschool. • Keep a routine at home, allowing for a good-night’s sleep and healthy breakfast. (A recommended bedtime for a 7-year-old is 7:30 or 8:00. Studies show that developing brains need more sleep to process new information.) • If they are sick, please keep them at homeat least until they are free from fever for 24 hours!
