  1. The Rise Of The West Side Western Christianity Ashley Prater, Emma Urban, Gabi Campana, Morgan Chesla, Autumn Henwood, Katelyn Riley, and Amber Schauer

  2. The Purpose of the Game In the game, the Western Christian Kingdom is trying to take down the Byzantine Empire, Justinian and Theodora. They are also trying to defeat the Devil and The Pope.

  3. The Summary You will be a Western Christian hero, going through each level. In each level, you will try to find diamonds, coins, stars, and slaves that will help you along your journey. At the end, you will find Justinian and Theodora and defeat them.

  4. Players Our video game is a one-player game only, meaning only one person can play at a time. There is only one avatar that a player can choose.

  5. Historical Heroes In this game there is only one historical hero (who of which is the only avatar you can select). His name is Charles Martel, a West Side Christian.

  6. Historical Villains The historical villains are the ones in the game who you will have to destroy. In this game, our villains are: The Byzantine Empire’s own Justinian and Theodora, the Devil, and The Almighty Pope.

  7. 1 2 level level 3 level 4 Levels Rise Of The West Side is played one level at a time. When you defeat a “Boss” at the end of each level, the next one is unlocked. There are a total of four levels.

  8. Secrets Flip over rock to get coin. Collect 100 coins to get an extra life. If you find a floating star you receive 10 extra lives. If you catch a slave it gives you a bonus point. After 10 bonus points you get a weapon

  9. Final Challenge • The pope (10 minutes for each level) Defeat the boss

  11. Graphics The background of the video game is the scenery from ancient Western Europe.

  12. Sound Effects The clinging of swords People coughing or grunting Battle sounds

When something important is about to happen (whether good or bad) music appropriate to the event starts playing When player gets close to boss or historical villain eerie, dark music creeps in to warn the player(Jaws music) Calm song playing in background while you go through course Music cues

  14. Start over Can start over level, not whole game Cheat Code-Start Over- 2 lives Easy, Medium, Difficult

  15. When you win a level you will have beaten the boss at the end and cheers and music will play! You will advance to the next level and have the option to save your work. At the very end of the game when you have beaten the final level fireworks will go off and you a screen will show with highlights of all your great victories throughout the game! CONGRADULATIONS Conclusion
