  6. Institutional Assessment PlanFall 2009 • Build on “Program” strength and tradition • Utilize existing conversations • Address concerns of faculty – especially union • Integrate into processes • Take advantage of technology

  7. Differentiate Outcomes & Objectives • Curriculum/WebCMS is the home of objectives. • Assessment/Tracdat is the home of outcomes. • Outcomes are developed by programs and using Tracdat they are linked to courses, degrees, and certificates.

  8. Dialogue • Outcomes are assessed in courses, the results are discussed by programs, and changes are implemented as a part of this discussion. • When necessary programs can also request resources based upon their assessment results. (This also utilizes Tracdat)

  9. Connecting with Budgeting and Planning • ePAR goals and strategies • Linking assessment results in Tracdat • Potential for “reward” as a part of allocation process • Challenges in current budget

  10. Linking SLO Assessment and Research • Critical support and encouragement • Shared use of technology (Tracdat) • Participation on Student Learning Committee • Program support
