Geneva 2013 Czech water resources • total dependence on precipitation – practically all water is drained out of the territory • water resources availability are limited • the main source for drinking water • 49 water reservoirs + several water courses (about 52 % of produced water) • groundwater resources (about 47-48 %) • bank infiltration (about 2-3 %)

Geneva 2013 Pricing of water use in the Czech Republic • water in the Czech Republic is „nobody“ • prices are applied for abstraction (surface water + groundwater) and for the services connected with drinking water supply, sewerage and waste water treatment operation • price range for abstraction of surface water 3 – 5 CZK/m3 • price range for groundwater abstraction 2 – 3 CZK/m3 • drinking water supply + sewage treatment 71 CZK/m3
