Regulatory Impact Assessment in Slovakia • So far, an inefficient process exists • Pilot project by mid-2009 • New methodology for BIA • Too many weak links, however • No political will to make Better Regulation a priority No evaluation of various scenarios • Quick test drafted by ignorant bureaucrats • No chance to evaluate the fundaments of draft legislation • No chance to stop the law • No political will to slow down legislative process
