WWI “Visual Causation” Organizer By: Mr. Brady
Visual Causation Project • You will create a unique graphic that shows the different causes of WWI. • Just like you did with the train and the tracks for the Industrial Revolution • To do this you will create a “Black Hand” where each finger will be one of the MAIN causes and your thumb will be the “inflammatory incident”
How to do it 1.) Read the documents that correspond to the different causes. 2.) Then, for each cause, provide a summary of the causewriting it on one of the fingers or thumb. 3.) In your summary, be sure to include: • a.) the main points, • b.) the different steps that were taken, • c.) as well as thoroughly explain how each step led to the tension that ultimately brought about WWI. 4.) This should be a summary, so please use your own words. 5.) On the back of your “Black Hand” include the different steps that triggered the all out war in Europe. • In other words, explain how the alliance system worked so that both sides were fighting. 6.) Please be creative with this, add color, add the MAINs to each finger so that we can distinguish the difference. Make it your own, be creative.
What to do when you are finished 1.) Work on the study guide 2.) Study—we will be having a quiz on Friday that will cover imperialism and the beginning of WWI
