Write objective in agenda • Bell Ringer : • Root Words: “duc, duce, duct” • Copy the following words and definitions. • Abduct : Abduct (verb)—To take away by force; kidnap • Educate : educate (verb)—To develop; teach; lead out from ignorance • Induce : induce (verb)— To lead into; persuade What does the root duc, duce, duct mean? • What other words come from the root duc, duce, duct? • III. Inference • Define, example • Watch “Alma” and answer inference questions • V. Closing: Explain to your partner in what other areas (life or school subjects) being able to inference well gives you an advantage.
