Mindfulness and Meditation Apps • There are many apps that help people meditate such as headspace, calm and mindbody
Our Idea • However, there is not many apps that focus on allowing people to meditate together with others at the same time.
Our Idea • Our app will allow people to meditate with others, even if they are not in the same room together.
Our Idea • You would create an account • Your account can be linked with your friend/partner • Then we connect the two to complete a meditation session
For Who? • Technology and Globalization – meeting online 3rd most likely way of starting a heterosexual relationship • Young Couples (Lenhart & Duggan, 2014) • Not limited to romance
Why? • Meditation can help deal with chronic pain, anxiety, stress, improve heart health, boost mood and more e.g. Hospital patients • Doing it with a partner has multiple benefits • It can help you develop it as a habit - compare your hours you have meditated with your friend (competitiveness) • Connect you with your partner - increased common humanity and decreased isolation • Saves time and money
