  1. Introduction to elluminate live

  2. This tutorial is designed to help you better understand how to use the Elluminate Live classroom. One of the best things you can do is to go into the classroom and “play” with features before class. Your instructor may have to give you moderator privileges for some things. Speak to him or her about your particular class.

  3. This is the participant whiteboard and work area in Elluminate.

  4. If you cannot hear or talk Select Tools>Audio>Audio Setup Wizard

  5. Follow directions.

  6. The top icon bars

  7. SAVE You can save Chat or Whiteboard screen.

  8. Print You can print Current Screen or Selected Screens.

  9. Click here for polling. You might see “A B CD E” instead of  and X.

  10. Click here to share desktops and applications. More on this later.

  11. Take notes that are “aligned” with content of the class session.

  12. First we will look at the left sidebar.

  13. Raise your hand if you have a question.

  14. You can also clap from here and smile. Your “comments” appear in the white space above.

  15. You can chat by entering text here, then clicking send. You can send it to the whole room or to certain people. The moderator will see all comments. It is best no t to say anything negative, especially about the moderators.

  16. To talk, you MUST click on button. You are “active” if the microphone is yellow.

  17. CRITICAL Remind me to click on the little red dot so I record the session!!!!

  18. Click here to add a text box in the whiteboard.

  19. Text appears and can be edited or moved by others.

  20. Click here to add shapes to whiteboard.

  21. Click here to add an image to the whiteboard.

  22. Click on the STAR to add other cool things.

  23. Click on any icon for it to appear on the whiteboard. After placing it, you (and others) can move it around.

  24. You are a participant. You can tell because your name is NOT bold. (It probably is not Jose either.)

  25. When you are a moderator, you have lots of fun extra things to do.

  26. Tonight, you will upload your PowerPoint presentation.

  27. This screen appears after clicking on the file folder. Default is OK.

  28. Find and highlight your presentation. Then, click on Open.

  29. Again, default value is fine. Click on OK.

  30. When uploaded, your presentation will appear.

  31. Navigate and back and forth with arrows. These arrows WILL be grayed out if you are in participant mode. More features later. . .

  32. Now you!
