Impact of phasing – serving meals after April vacation • Occupy “tower”, Thanksgiving 2010 • Followed by asbestos abatement, demolition, and final site work • Project Completion – December 2011 • 1 to 1 Learning program - anywhere, anytime
What do we mean by 1 to 1 Learning? • Every teacher and student has their own mobile, wireless device • Shifts to a more project based, real world relevant instruction • Infuses technology with curriculum in all areas • Enabled by a new HS facility with the necessary infrastructure
HS students will use technology to… • Access and use digital resources to enhance learning • Collaborate with students and experts world-wide • Publish and share work with outside world • Improve productivity and communication skills • Learn and practice responsible use of technology
Changes in the Schools • Professional Learning Communities • Analyzing data to improve instruction • Expansion of pilot reading program • Added foreign language in grade 6, second ROTC instructor, school nurse leader, school facilities engineer, in-district special education programs

Interesting Data • BHS has cut its dropout rate from 4% to 2.1% in five years • In five years, BHS has increased rates of attending college (2 & 4-year schools) from 70% to 92% of graduates • 2010-11 Rotary International Scholars in… • Kelsey Davison – Chile • Regan Imperiali – Ukraine • Kelsey Flynn - Czech Republic or Slovakia
Interesting Data • 50% of our out-of-district placements are for emotional disorders • 8 Beverly students attend Northshore Recovery High School • 4 teachers will complete TILE program in May – future leaders • 53 current teachers began here as paraprofessionals • 16 current para’s are licensed teachers
Competitive Colleges In the past 3 years, at least 2 BHS seniors have been accepted at these schools that have an average accepted GPA of 4.0+
