VentureNet 9-12 May 2013 Greek Ventures Presentation Overview Let’s get familiar with the Greek Ventures Established in 1947 Age section between 15-18 Mixed sex units (both boys and girls) At least 9 Venture members per Unit (approx. 12 members overall Greece) 2-3 Venture Leaders per Unit(age section 20-50) 250 Venture Unitsoverall Greece 2500 Ventures in total

VentureNet 9-12 May 2013 Greek Ventures Presentation Venture Activities Venture team activities : Weekly basis (mostly during the weekend) Activities based on 6 Activity Categories “Conference meetings” – structured conversation with topics list, coordinator, secretary, timebox etc. Big Events where all members participate in the organization (summer camps more than 5 days, winter camps, e.g. a theatrical performance) Public Service projects Research projects

VentureNet 9-12 May 2013 Greek Ventures Presentation Venture Activities Venture activities based on personal initiative: Personal interests presentation Venture Professional Workshops (organized by the local district leaders) Trial activities associated with progression system (local and National, e.g. “Dafni” trial, “Scout of the Nation” trial )

VentureNet 9-12 May 2013 Greek Ventures Presentation Venture Activities Other Venture activities : Local district activities with a variety of objectives (e.g. an adventure excursion, a social offer etc.) Greek National Ventures Jamboree “Elpida” (Hope) Greek National Ventures Social & Cultural Festival (PAPE) International activities (Roverway, World Scouts Jamboree, Agora, JOTI-JOTA)

New progression System reevaluated in 2011 VentureNet 9-12 May 2013 Greek Ventures Presentation Ventures Time path “Dafni” Badge “Scout of the Nation” Badge Venture enters the group Venture leaves the group VENTURE ACTIVITIES VENTURE ACTIVITIES VENTURE ACTIVITIES Discover (2-4 months) Act (at least 8 months) Contribute (at least 6 months)
