Learning from communities affected by conflict, dislocation and natural disaster in Sri Lankadescribes qualitative research on community perceptions of mental health & wellbeing in four locations. 2. Aspects of Mental Health in Sri Lanka includes chapters (based on some preliminary studies) on perceptions of ‘mental health’ and illness behaviour,  idioms of distress, indigenous medical treatment of ‘mental illness’, and examples of mental promotion projects in a Sri Lankan village. 3 & 4. Introduction to Mental Health are two books meant to nurses and social workers in Sri Lanka. (These have been translated into Sinhala and Tamil – available in Sri Lanka.) 5. Community Mental Health and Mental Health of Children and Youth contains a collection of talks given at a workshop held at University of Peradeniya in 2010.
