Highlights eInduction Update • Improved efficiency of delivery of mail to the USPS by using electronic data with IMcb’s to eliminate the need for paper 8125 / 8017’s and human checks at point of acceptance. • November 2011 deployment. • eInduction is optional. • eInduction for PVDS loads deposited at all NDC’s and SCF’s • eInduction will be available to SV and non SV sites. • eInduction to include origin entry mail prior deposited with 8017 at NDC’s and SCF’s. • DDU’s not a part of the eInduction process

  3. eInduction Update Participation Requirements • IMcb on all containers • Mailer provides information on mail preparation and postage payment including unique container IMcb through eDoc submission. • PostalOne! Submission Methods: • Mail.dat • Mail.xml • Postal Wizard. Note: Full Service mailings meet eInduction requirements (Full Service not a requirement for eInduction)

Participation Solutions eInduction Update • Any combination of Non-eDoc, ePostage or IMcbs • Wizard expanded to require entry of pseudo register • PostalOne! application creates supplemental placard with system generated IMcb that must be affixed by mailer to pallet. • Presort vendors create IMcb, print on placard • 3rd party software package append the IMcb to the eDoc, print on placard • PostalOne! application to create a “supplemental placard” from the electronic data, attached by the mailer

Participation Solutions eInduction Update • “Consolidator” option (Container Manifest) • Mailer passes Postage Statement ID to consolidator. • Consolidator creates unique IMcb for each pallet. • Consolidator creates mail.xml message to PostalOne! linking newly created IMcb to postage statement ID. • 3rd party updates and submission • possible solution to previously mentioned solutions • details yet to be worked through
