Objectives • Understand the use of MBI Assessment Tools for action planning • School-wide Evaluation Tool (SET) • Self Assessment Survey (SAS) • Team Implementation Checklist (TIC) • Team Fidelity Inventory (TFI) • Safe Schools Survey (SSS) • Develop team action plans using MBI Assessmentdata and reports

NEWTiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) • Is based on earlier PBIS fidelity surveys (SET, BoQ, TIC, SAS, BAT, MATT) and replaces those measures. • The TFI gives teams a single, efficient, valid, reliable survey to guide implementation and sustained use of SWPBIS. • Using the TFI, teams measure the extent to which school personnel apply the core features of SWPBIS at all three tiers – either individually or collectively 1

NEWTiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) • Purpose of the TFI is to provide an efficient tool for measuring implementation fidelity at all three tiers • The tool is divided into three sections, one for each tier. • Guide for implementation of Tier I, Tier II, and/or Tier III practices • Completed once per quarter until team achieves 80% fidelity across three consecutive administrations • Total Score – Bar Graph • Subscale – Bar Graph • Subsubscale – Bar Graph • Item by item report 1

  7. Introduction to the Safe Schools Survey (SSS) • Help teams determine risk and protective factors for the school • Determine what training and support may be needed related to school safety and violence prevention in the school 1

  9. TIC Subscale Report • Designed to monitor the activities of implementation of seven critical features • Progress-monitoring • Results used to plan activities to support and improve the implementation of MBI

  10. School-wide Evaluation Tool (SET): A Tool for Measuring Implementation Fidelity of School-wide Discipline • Measures fidelity of implemented school-wide behavior support systems • Interviews • Observations • Permanent Product Review • Conducted annually

  15. Example: Action Planning Using SAS Goal Selected Goal to be added to MBI Action Plan MBI team will present mini-modules on critical features of program at monthly faculty meetings. Topics to include: 1. Teaching behavior lessons 2. Active supervision 3. Redirecting 4. Inappropriate behaviors • Booster training activities are developed for staff based on data.
