This project conducted aerosol optical thickness measurements in Cervignano del Friuli, focusing on AOT data comparison with temperature, pressure, humidity, and wind speed and satellite data analysis. Results, conclusions, and anomalies were documented.

COMENIUS PROJECT ISIS MALIGNANI 2000 CERVIGNANO DEL FRIULI
WE HAVE MEASURED: • AOT; • Relative Humidity (%); • Temperature (°C); • Pressure (mbar);
Where? In Cervignano del Friuli at Latitude 45°49'4"08 N Longitude 13°20'41"28 E Decimaldegrees 45,8178; 13,3448 The red circles indicate the areas that influence the AOT
When? We have just continued the measurements made by the previous 4th class. Infact the measurments started in September 2011, we have replaced our school mates since September 2012.
Data assessment We compared AOT data with: • Temperature (°C); • Pressure (mbar); • Relative Humidity (%); The results are shown in the following graphs..
AOT Days are numbered from 1 (1st of October) to 61 (30th of November)
New comparisons This time we also tried to compare AOT with wind speedand satellite data. We tried to take measurements at same time of satellite overpassing (Aqua) Wind speed: from www.eurometeo.com Satellite data: from Nasa:Giovanni - Interactive Visualization and Analysis It should be noticed that Satellite measures AOT at 550 nm while we measure it at 505 nm.
CONCLUSIONS AOT-P: no clear relation. AOT-T: no clear relation. AOT-% H: graphsevidence the samebehaviour (infactaerosols are alsomadeofliquiddroplets) AOT-windspeed: high windspeedresults in low AOT and viceversa ANOMALIES: very high valuesof AOT havebeenmeasured on 18th and 19th october.
