Mission Statement • To introduce the field of biotechnology to other students, share and discuss ideas, and research specific areas of biotech. • Our main objective is to create a forum in which there is a constant flow of ideas between members.
What is Biotech? • “[T]he art of utilizing living organisms and their products for the production of food, drink, medicine or for other benefits to the human race, or other animal species” • In other words, biotech is the use of living things and their components to improve people’s lives
