What is NOT Worship Psalm 14:2-3
Psalm 14 • 1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. 2 The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. 4 Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the LORD.
Psalm 14 • 5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous. 6 You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge. 7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
Worship is the definitive purpose for which we were created.
Worship Is… • The Priority commandment of God. • The Pattern of observance in the OT. • The Practice of the church in the NT. • Our Primary responsibility before God. • The Place where God is at home • It is the Pre-requisite to effective service. • Worship is the Panacea for discouragement. • Worship is the Passion of God
what is worship, • how should we worship, • what does it really mean to worship, • what kind of worship does he accept and reject, • what is the proper way of expressing worship to God?
We live in a world that has been perverted by satan. • The bible says that satan is • the prince of this world (John 12:31; 14:30) and • the ruler of the kingdom of the air (James 2:2) and • the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)
God Does NOT accept: • Ignorant Worship

So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. 28 God gave them over to a debased mind
