  5. Why do we need to know Jesus?

  6. Jesus: He was standing by the lake of Gennesaret; Crowd: crowd was pressing around Him and listening to the word of God

  8. Jesus said: "Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch." Peter’s Response: "Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing,

  9. Peter’s Response: …but I will do as You say and let down the nets." ARGUED FIRST BEFORE HE OBEYED JESUS

  10. Why did he argued first before he obeyed Jesus? It was not the right time to catch fist (daytime). They spent the whole night fishing yet they caught nothing He has a limited understanding of Jesus.

  11. He has a limited understanding of Jesus. “MASTER” is equivalent with “RABBI,” which means “teacher.”

  12. Peter felt, he is a loser even before he began. Have you ever been defeated?

  14. Surrender that pain to Jesus and trust him fully for the result. He can give you freedom from your past.

  16. What was his realization when he saw the great catch of fish? Peter realized the power of Jesus that leads him to addressed Jesus as “Lord.”

  17. MASTER • + LORD • Peter’s knowledge of Jesus grew, and fully understood that he is not only a master but also as Lord.

  18. Peter personally experienced Jesus and was able to see the great manifestation of His power over the nature

  21. Peter’s Response: He was afraid of Jesus Jesus said: Don’t be afraid, from now on you will catch men

  22. v. 10b And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not fear, from now on you will be catching men." ..v.4b "Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch." Fishers of Fish Fishers of Men

  27. STOP RUNNING FROM JESUS SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO HIM
