What is a WIKI? • Hawaiian for “quick” • Not a passive, “read only” website • An effective & interactive way of working through sharing, learning, trusting people (most are trustworthy & the Wiki is monitored) • An effective way of working: takes time and effort (all shared learning does) and needs active members • An effective way of working: saves time and money for all (costs nothing), all pages are pre-formatted • It’s a lot of fun if you are not shy • Can be replicated in any setting (go ahead!)

Why WIKI? • Open inter-congregational sharing • Subsidiarity in action • Built by the community of users: everybody contributes • Simple to use, accessible for all • Simple to edit, add to, update; text & visual • Sustainable for JPIC office because it can be run by anyone from anywhere in the world and is easy to learn for new volunteers
