Strategy As an education-chartered credit union, CFE continues to seek ways to support and improve the quality of education for Central Florida students.
A Gift for Teaching • A FREE store where teachers shop for supplies for needy students • Central Florida area – Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties • Benefits schools in the most impoverished areas • Majority of students are on reduced and free lunch program • Benefits teachers
CFE’s Initial Role • Initiated a supply drive - 2003 • Members and employees • June 15 – July 31 • Donated 11,074 items to AGFT • Supply drive – 2004 • Donated 13,074 items to AGFT • Joined AGFT & Orlando Mayor for Supply Drive Day • Donor for new facility included permanent name display on room • CFE’s president and CEO joins Board of AGFT
Expanded Role In 2005 • Sponsored annual fund-raising breakfast • Attended “show & tell” luncheons sponsored by AGFT • Senior/Branch management attend fund-raising breakfast • Partnered with radio morning show in community wide school supply drive

Fund Raising Breakfast • Senior and branch management invited • Vendors invited • Learned how AGFT benefits teachers and students • Three CFE tables raised over $20,000 at breakfast.
“Show & Tell” Luncheons • Attended by CFE managers, branch managers, assistant branch managers • Toured the FREE store and warehouse • Learned first hand how supplies help students • Held every Tuesday – CFE personnel attended at their convenience
Community Supply Drive • Partnered XL 106.7 Doc & Johnny • Morning Radio Show Hosts • Co-sponsored community supply drive • Over 100 promo announcements during 2-week period • Live mentions during morning show • Logo included on web site
Community Supply Drive • Booth Presence at event • Full truckload delivered to AGFT • CFE spokesperson Joe Melbourne, President, was interviewed twice during the live on-air broadcast.

Telethon Co-Sponsorship • CFE Spokesperson, Joe Melbourne, was interviewed live on air by Channel 6 anchor • CFE handled the phones • Given TV coverage during the news
Results • Voted Best Credit Union in Central Florida • Awareness in the community of our support and commitment of education • Partnered with an organization that benefits our core membership • Donated over 47,000 items to AGFT over the past 3 years
Results • Received significant free TV and radio coverage for our community involvement. • Distributed press releases and included several articles in member newsletter. • Received press coverage and photo in the CU Journal, Nov 21 and La Prensa, a CF Hispanic publication.
Results • CFE can communicate its support and investment in AGFT • to over 5,000 new hires in Orange County Public Schools at weekly new employee orientations • at school events throughout the year in Orange Osceola and Seminole Counties
