Workshop project from June 2010 at Cracow University of Technology. Mechanical design group developed a platform for moving and positioning the Target Spectrometer without surface grooves. The platform offers three movement options using DELU air pads, polymeric slippers, and Hilman Rollers. The construction includes I-beams, air support systems, and hydraulic cylinders for accurate positioning. Removable components like roller guides and hydraulic actuators enhance flexibility. FEM analysis ensured structural integrity under load and stress control. The platform design allows movement in x, y, z directions with minimum deformation and low floor pressure. The platform system can be easily adapted for different loads and conditions.

It is posssible move Target Spectometer usinig four blocks of the Hilman Rollers. The Hilman Rollers could be located between I-beam so construction can be the same us for pads and sliders. It gives possibility to move only in one direction. The positiong x, z – direction will be huge challenge for this solution • The construction with Hilman Rollers Rollers

Air pads platform with plastic sliders Advantages: Give possibility to move in three direction x,y,z No deformation of the structure and low stress Low contact pressure on floor We don’t need to prepare channels in floor to mount (precisely machined) rails. Guidance for air pad platform can be mounted on floor. We need the air pads only during moving, after that you can use the pads to move another load It is possible to exchange plastic sliders made of plastic into steel ones if theTarget Spectometer not move long time.
