Efficient Moving and Positioning Platform for Target Spectrometer

This workshop introduced a platform design by Cracow University of Technology's Mechanical Design Group for moving and positioning a Target Spectrometer on the floor. The platform utilizes air pads, hydraulic jacks, Hilman Rollers, and plastic sliders for precise and controlled movement in x, y, and z axes. The design includes I-beams, hydraulic cylinders, and various components to enable smooth operation and accuracy in spectrometer positioning. Finite Element Method (FEM) analyses ensure structural integrity and safety standards are met. The platform design offers advantages like low floor contact pressure, easy pressure control, and the possibility to move in three directions without deformation. Some drawbacks include the need for a large compressor and a flat floor surface. Overall, the platform provides efficient and reliable support for moving heavy equipment like the Target Spectrometer with minimal stress on the structure and floor.

Assumptions for construction of the platform: Platform, rails and another devices situated on the floor Target Spectrometer and his doors will be support by the platform Platform allows to move Target Spectrometer in x – axis direction and positioning in z axis and y – axis. • To makethemain assumptions

This construction of the platform give us three possibilities to movement: on DELU air pads Independly we can use special polymeric slippers without or with air pads The Hilman Rollers- for this we need steel rails on the floor and lifting system for positioning The construction of the platform includes standard long four I-beams HEB800 air supply hose slipper/support air pad hydraulic cylinder

Eight or ten pads max load 400 tones The pressure will be controled in each path Double DELU system hose accessory, consisting of: • 12 piece connecting hoses each 5 m long, (2pcs reserve)with two female quick connection couplings each • 2 piece high flexible supply hose 30m long, diameter 2”with two female quick connection couplings each • 2 piece air connection point 2" with external thread AirConsumption 8 m3/min for one segment , pressure 4 bar, lifting 40 mm

We need the air pads only during moving, after that you can use the pads to move another load It is possible to exchange plastic sliders made of plastic into steel ones if theTarget Spectrometer not move long time.
