What is your personal definition: • Of a Leader? • Of Service?
A Leader is… • One who is able to bring an individual or organization to a higher level of greatness so that they can excel at bringing excellence into the earth from any position. • One who is able to help others make great decisions as they infuse them with inspiration and information to empower them. • One who is able to serve and still lead with gentleness, care, and sternness when needed. • One who is able to make an individual or organization recognize where they are and steer them to where they need to go; keeping their eye on the PRIZE. • One who is able to lead from the front, middle, & behind. • Being Present!
Service is… • Helping bring about greatness from any position. • Working to make “it” (what ever “it” may be) happen. • Taking up the slack to meet the goal as a team. • Making sure everything needed is taken care of. • BEING PRESENT!!
What are the real differences? • Can you lead and serve? • Can you serve and lead? • Do you always have to be in front to inspire? • What kinds of words do you think about that go with the word: leader? Now Service?
Humble… • What is Humble? • What is your personal definition of humble? • Is being humble important when in a leadership role? • Why?
Humble is… • Not proud or haughty • Not arrogant or assertive! • What does that look like? Write in 25-50 words what “humble” looks like.
