As a dedicated and recognized leader in your region, you will serve as the District Governor's Liaison to clubs and assist in implementing the Maximum Effort program. Join us in becoming agents of change for growth, service, and commitment.

Why ME? • You have demonstrated your dedication • You are diligent in the completion of every task that has been assigned to you • You are recognized in your region as a Leader • You have the ability to serve as District Governor
What Am I To Do? • You are the District Governor’s Liaison to the 12-15 clubs in your region • You are a resource person for the 3-4 Zone Chairman in your region • Assist in the implementation of the Maximum Effort program in each club in your region • Assist with the formation of two new clubs in your region
What is the Maxium Effort Program? The Maximum Effort Program is designed to insure that each Lions Club in our District is healthy, vibrant, serving and growing

Step By Step • Meet with Zone Chairs • Review their Plan of Action • Develop a Region Plan of Action • Schedule a Regional Training Session to address ME Program • Monthly Monitor Club Growth, Activity and Communication • Monthly Monitor Implementation of Maximum Effort Program in each club/zone
Adopt Region Goals • All clubs have a ME Team in place • All clubs complete the Rate Your Club Survey • All Clubs complete a Community Needs Assessment • All Clubs have realistic Goals • Identify possible locations for new clubs • Name a region extension team
Some Clubs are on Life Support • Not meeting regularly • No meaningful service projects • Membership below 20 (Below 10 Members requires ICU • Attendance at meetings is low • Does not attend Zone, Region, or District Meetings
IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE? • The Region Chair and Zone Chair are the attending physician • Meet with the Sick Club • Prescribe a regiment of action to restore club health • Monitor progress with regular check-ups
Unfortunately Some Clubs Fail • Ways to Help • Merge with another vibrant club • Charter a New Club • Request a nearby club to accept the small club as a branch club • Arrange for the community needs to be met by another Lions Club
