1. CTE Lateral Entry Teachers All Lateral Entry Teachers will receive a Provisional License. Each must complete requirements outlined by NCDPI within 3 years to obtain a clear NC teacher license.

Strand II: CMS Professional Development • Requirement – 2 of 3 New Teacher Academy courses • New Teacher Academy – Classroom Management – SecondaryDate: February 21 & March 21Time: 8:30 – 3:30 • New Teacher Academy – Instructional Strategies – SecondaryDate: January 31 & February 28Time: 8:30 – 3:30 • New Teacher Academy – Independent Study – 2nd year teachersIndependent Study opens on January 2nd.  This online course (mini action research project) lasts 8 weeks.
