  2. About Me • Single Subject Credential in Mathematics • Mentor at Heritage High School • 2 years at Antioch High School • 6th year teaching at Heritage High School • Algebra I (8 years), Intensified Algebra (6 years) Geometry, Study Skills, CAHSEE Prep

  3. Philosophy of Teaching • I try to create a positive and enthusiastic environment for your child to learn. This enables them to feel comfortable trying and allowing them to feel ok making mistakes. It is part of the learning process.

  4. Assignments/Grades • Class notes are taken daily. Students are encouraged to use the example in their notes to assist on the assignments • Class work is given daily out of a workbook (kept in class) • Homework is given daily out of textbook

  5. Tests/Quizzes • Quizzes are given on the last class period of every week. This is to assess their progress on that week’s lessons • Tests are given at the conclusion of every chapter • Test corrections can be done to make up partial credit on designated days before school following a test.

  6. Need Extra Help? • Before school on A days at 7:40 am • Peer tutors • List will be made within the next month. These student tutors charge $10/hour.
