Maintaining Independence • It is critical to our members that we maintain an operational independence from statutory services to ensure they feel able to fully express themselves • We acknowledge that the JCT respects our independence, even when this can be challenging for them • Previous issues have tested and shown this relationship to work e.g. NHS financial Cuts
Areas for improvement • Increased influence on members at JCPB meetings – user and carer views should be more central to the discussions • Working with MHSOP and LD • Regional influence • Improvements needed to the structure of JCPB meetings
