2. Knots • Tying knots is a fundamental skill. • It takes a lot of practice in order to fully learn • In this presentation, they are descriptions and instructions to do few different types of knots.

The Overhand Knot • The overhand knot is a good place to start learning how to tie knots. • The overhand knot is the same as the first part of tying your shoes. • The first step of doing the overhand knot is to hold the rope out parallel to the ground and cross it over to form a loop. • The second step is to wrap the right hand end through the loop, and pull!

Double-Overhand Knot • The double overhand knot is an extension to the regular overhand knot. • The double over hand knot is larger and more difficult to untie • Step one on making the double overhand knot is to make a regular simple overhand knot • Step two, add an extra loop • Step three,Pull to tighten

5. The Slip Knot • The slip knot is also called a running knot • Step one on doing a slip knot is to hold a length of rope in front of you and twist to form a loop. • Step two is to reach through the loop, grab the right end by the middle, and pull it through the loop, keep your hand steady, and a knot will tight around the part you are pulling through

The Butterfly Knot • The butterfly knot is a static loop that can be formed anywhere along a rope. • Step one on doing the butterfly knot is to hang the rope from your hand. • Step two, coil it around your hand twice. • Step three, reach under the right-most coil and grab the middle one, then carefully pull it out and form a loop. • Step four, bring the loop you made all they way over the coils, and pull it back underneath both remaining coils. Pull the loop, and then both ends of the rope to tighten
