Conclusions Conclusions - 1 On most measures the majority of Imperial employees give a positive answer Work is generally considered interesting and most feel well motivated. Imperial is seen as being a high status organisation with a strong reputation where people can work with colleagues they respect and with whom they have a good relationship Three-quarters are satisfied with the influence they have over their work, although not as many feel they have influence over developments and changes that affect their job Workload is the most common reason for feeling under unreasonable pressure although nearly two-thirds said they were satisfied with the time they have to complete their work At least two-thirds feel well informed at Faculty and Departmental level. Many communications methods are in use (some would say too many) so the majority can source relevant information from somewhere
Conclusions Conclusions - 2 Around one in seven said they have experienced or witnessed any form of discrimination and around one in four said they had witnessed or experienced any form of harassment or bullying • A quarter feel the College has got better at promoting equality and eliminating discrimination Whilst current training and development practices gain fairly high levels of endorsement, there is more variation in opinion of PRDP Only two-thirds of employees feel they could express an opinion without fear of negative consequences and one in five is dissatisfied with the recognition received for achievements Imperial is perceived to be a safe place to work but just over a fifth disagree that the College is doing all it can to reduce its carbon footprint
