Your Staff Survey Results • Reflect on your department’s survey results • What were you expecting to see in the results? • What do the results show and what have you seen/heard before or in the 2007 survey? • What surprises you? • What themes appears in the results? • What is happening in the workplace that has influenced the results? • What would I like to know more about?
Acting on the results • UEC ownership and commitment • University-wide issues will be addressed, some things may not be fixable but we will explain why • Departments • Focus on key issues in your Department Report • Share results widely with staff and try to involve them in seeking solutions • Identify and celebrate areas of strength • Use results as evidence for existing projects/groups
Acting on your results • Involve your department in planning • Circulate copies of the results to staff • Explore what is important to staff eg a staff meeting(s) • Focus on key issues - a small number of changes could make a real difference • Action planning • Actions to influence other eg in other depts • Escalate issues higher for action/consideration • Identify those you and the team can action yourselves
Action Planning • WHAT you want to change and what we are going to do? • WHY is it important, what benefit will it have and for whom? • HOW are we going to do it? • WHO is going to do what and who outside the team also need to be involved or kept informed? • WHEN will it be done by and when we will review the change to see if it has made a positive difference?
