  6. Intergenerational Volunteering Generation Games Mutual understanding and respect between generations, sharing cultural and social experiences, increase in volunteering opportunities, enhancing skills and work opportunities • Carpet Bowles • Knitting • Gardening • Cooking • Bollywood

  7. Intergenerational Volunteering Knitting • 8 Students and 7 community members volunteered to take part in Knitting club, based within the Business Enterprise Centre Carpet Bowles • 9 pupils from SSCS were given the opportunity to learn how to carpet bowl

  8. Intergenerational Volunteering Gardening • 8 Students and 6 community members volunteered to take part in Gardening Club and called themselves the “GO GO Gardeners” • Cooking – follow on from Gardening, working with foods found in the garden, 10 students and 6 community members. • Bollywood – Scheduled to start in February

  9. Outdoor Activities Summer Football Scheme • The event was organised during the summer holidays to encourage individuals to work as teams, with members of the community they wouldn’t usually work with. The event promoted soft skills, how to identify these skills and use them in everyday life

  10. Outdoor Activities Thurston • Activities include rock climbing, canoeing, sailing, • Classroom based tasks team building and confidence levels • Evaluation techniques

  11. Raising Aspirations • Take Your Family to Work – new cultural experiences, meeting people from a variation of organisation. • Raising Aspirations Event – engaging local business into school and providing role models. • Skills Circus – family members learn new skills in a variety of areas with their children, raising adult and children's aspirations.

  12. Sustainability • Developed a Community Interest Company Benefits include; Apply for external funding opportunities Further skills and development in business enterprise • Community Garden • International exchange programme
